Miami to Key West
SUNDAY DECEMBER 12, 2021
Hotel
We are staying here in Miami two nights, so no need to pak your bags yet. Do NOT leave a maid tip -- we have generously tipped for you.
6:45 a.m. – 8:45 a.m.
Wonderful breakfast buffet downstairs in the lobby, starting at 6:45 a.m. Included in the price of the trip – no tipping please. Just sign the check they present you at breakfast and we'll do the rest.
9:00 a.m.
You should be in front of the hotel, 100% ready to ride -- already been to the bathroom, wearing your bike clothes, water bottles filled..
We will be transporting your bike and you to the Everglades. We will NOT be pedaling to get there. (I scouted the route to pedal from Miami to the Everglades and it was awful! I mean, I'm always up for an adventure, but... awful!)
One we arrive we will unload the bikes. Our mechanic will be on hand if you need any last-minute tweaking.
We will be riding the beatiful, paved, and inredibly flat 15-mile loop around the park. Doesn't matter if you go clockwise or counter-clockwise. Are you a speedy rider? Last time I was here I pedaled the loop twice and it was a blast. Please just don't terrorize the many slow walkers on the road
From the Everglads we wil drive you to lunch.
After lunch it's back to the hotel to relax until dinner.
6:30 p.m.
Meet in front of the hotel for transoprtaion to a great dinner. Dres is casual, but Florida is famous for sometimes over-airconditioned spaces, so you might want to bring a light sweater or similar.
